Elementary School SDN 4 Ubung was specifically chosen for our waste management awareness program based on a recommendation from the Educational Department of Denpasar. This school is situated in the city of Denpasar, adjacent to a bustling traditional market.
Recognizing the need for improved waste management practices at the school, the principal enthusiastically decided to collaborate with the class VI students. Leading the initiative is Mrs. Ni Luh Eka Indrawati, a dedicated teacher in class VI A.
After completing all stages of the Zero Waste School Program (Sekolah Nol Sampah), the students were aware of using the water filter and bringing their reusable bottles from home. Also, students separate the waste into designed bins and use their new Tasini reusable bags when they shop at the nearby market.
This project has been possible thanks to the kind support of Mr. Kirk Bouffard.
