045 Rantemenduruk, Toraja Utara, South Sulawesi – Community Eco-Library
The school libraries in the vicinity only provide access to boring textbooks. Therefore, Mr. Martinus–an environmental activist, book lover and avid rock climber–decided to set up his own Eco-Library.
It is stationed on the premises of the climbing association, so that the children can have some exercise on the climbing wall and spend some time learning about nature. They also take the kids camping, organize environmental seminars and tree-planting activities.
Previous supporters have funded more than 60 Eco-Libraries across Indonesia. You can join the movement by donating today.
