021 Tinambung, Polewali, West Sulawesi – Mobile Eco-Library
Mr. M. Rahmat Muchtar is a musician who left the artists’ hotspot of Yogyakarta to pursue his dream of improving his native village in West Sulawesi.
He established Bendipustaka Pa’issangang – a horsecart library – and goes around the villages four times a week to get the kids excited about reading, because they have no proper books to read.
Mr. Muchtar is also aware of the environmental problems in his area, especially concerning the waste management. He hopes that the Eco-Library and the environmental activities for children will make Polewali a beautiful place, once again.
This Eco-Library is partially funded by Zelena pro Indonesii (Green for Indonesia) crowdfunding campaign at Hithit.com.
Previous supporters have funded more than 60 Eco-Libraries across Indonesia. You can join the movement by donating today.
